Thanks to the visitors and all assosiates for a successful event! Helsinki International Airshow gathered 72 000 people to see Finnish Aeronautical Associations 90th anniversary airshow. On saturday weather was the best possible and sun came out on sunday evening too.

Protect hearing at the event
Please note that exspecially childrens hearing should be protected. We recommed hearing protectors. The loudest performers are the army planes which perform 16.30 - 17.00 on both days. At the event there is also possible to purchase earplugs.
Discovery Channel films at Helsinki International Airhshow!
Finnish Visa Parviainen jumps from an airplane with rocket motors attached to his feet. Jari Kuosma glides in the air after jumping from an airplane. The daredevils is also know around the world - international Discovery Channel comes to Malmi to film the jump and to interview Visa and birdman Jari Kuosma for a documentary.
THE NORDIC GLIDER AEROBATICS CHAMPION JYRKI VIITASAARI TO PERFORM AT HIAS
During the recent Nordic Glider Aerobatics Championship competition held at Jämi, Finland, the gold was won by Finland´s own Jyrki Viitasaari. He is also the reigning Finnish Glider Aerobatics Champion. At the airshow Jyrki will be piloting the Pilatus B4 glider performing a silent aerobatic ballet in the Malmi sky.

HELSINKI INTERNATIONAL AIRSHOW took finnish celebrities to the sky!
Aerobatic pilot Tapio Pitkänen took finnish celebrities Toni Wirtanen, Karita Tykkä and Janne Kataja to the sky in Extra 300. Aerobatics were seen above Malmi Airport as well as above the centre of Helsinki.

Helsinki International Airshow begins with a ceremony
War veteran pilots, Pilvenveikot, attaches 2 memorial signs to honor war time flying units which operated from Malmi Airport. They will be attached to the wall next to the entrance of the air traffic control -building.
The ceremony will take place on saturday 15.8 at 10:00.
New remote parking area
The Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Centre will serve as parking place for Helsinki International Airshow. From there we have arranged a non-stop bus connection to the site of the event.

Westendin Linja arranges bus transportation to the event!
Helsinki-Malmi airport has no parking facilities and we hope that our visitors will use public transportation when coming to the event. We have arranged parking for cars at a remote parking area.
There are non-stop bus connection from Malmi and Tikkurila trainstations to the event.

THE MOST INCREDIBLE OPEN AIR EVENT THIS SUMMER IS APPROACHING!
From 15th to 16th of August you will see more and more astonishing Aerobatics shows in the Helsinki sky. Malmi Airport will host the 90th Anniversary Event of the Finnish Aeronautical Association with an extraordinary air show, which is also the main air show of the year. Over 85.000 people are expected to join the event during the two day so it will be one of the biggest mass events of the year.
